Wednesday, Sept. 30, is the approximate deadline to submit a veteran’s name for engraving on the Adair County Veterans Memorial Wall ahead of the Veterans Day (Wednesday, Nov. 11) recognition – names are typically due at least six weeks before the ceremony.
Submissions require proof of military service (a DD214 or discharge papers), a completed registration form, and the current engraving fee, sent to the City Clerk, City of Kirksville, 201 South Franklin St., Kirksville, MO 63501 (660-627-1225), or given to any Adair County Veterans Commission member.
