Names are engraved twice a year, with submissions due at least six weeks before Memorial Day and Veterans Day — for Veterans Day 2026 (Wednesday, Nov. 11), that puts the deadline around September 30, 2026. Registration requires proof of military service (a DD214 or discharge papers) and an engraving fee (current pricing available from the City Clerk), plus a completed registration form, submitted to the City Clerk (660-627-1225), City of Kirksville, 201 South Franklin St., Kirksville, MO 63501, or to any Adair County Veterans Commission member. Donations toward the memorial are welcomed from veterans and non-veterans alike.
