The Adair County Public Library’s September 2026 newsletter lists several one-time programs at the library (One Library Lane) over the next week and a half.
Amigurumi Class — Sept. 24 at 4pm, a crochet workshop for making small stuffed figures; participants should already know basic crochet. Movie Night: Sheep Detective (PG) — Sept. 25 at 6pm, a family film screening. Build a Stuffie — Sept. 26 at 10am, a hands-on craft program where kids choose, stuff, and name a stuffed animal to take home; registration is required, and open spots are only held for 10 minutes after the program begins.
The library’s 18+ club that meets the 4th Tuesday of the month — listed on the library’s regular-programming page as “Cryptid Club” — appears in the September newsletter as “Red String Society” and meets Sept. 22 at 4pm to discuss “creepy and macabre” topics, per the newsletter.
Full details, sign-up information, and the rest of the September calendar are in the newsletter (PDF) and on the library’s calendar and newsletter page. Call 660-665-6038 to confirm before visiting. See our library guide for regular hours and programs.
