Downtown Cinema 8 (115 North Elson St.) has one new title in its lineup since our last check: Daniel and the Fiery Furnace (PG-13), a faith-based drama starring Mena Massoud as the biblical prophet Daniel, with Elijah Alexander and Sophia Decaro, directed by Matthew Kooman and Daniel Kooman. It’s now showing alongside holdovers including Verity, Digger, Primetime, Heart of the Beast, Forgotten Island, an Avengers: Endgame anniversary encore, Resident Evil and Practical Magic 2. Full showtimes at downtowncinema8.com.
No changes at Curtain Call Theatre, Truman State University’s Theatre Department, or the Kohlenberg Lyceum Series since our last check; Kirksville High School’s fall musical, Something Rotten!, remains set for Nov. 19-22. See our theatre and film guide for the full rundown.
