The Kirksville City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 201 S. Franklin St. The meeting will also stream online via the city’s YouTube channel. The tentative agenda was posted Sept. 25.
Two proclamations are on the agenda: one recognizing Missouri Good Neighbor Week and another for Fire Prevention Week.
Several items involve the Kirksville Regional Airport. The council will consider a design and bid agreement with Woolpert Aviation of Denver for a T-Hangar rehabilitation project, as well as a ninth change order to the contract with Coil Construction of Columbia for the airport terminal project. Council members are also set to weigh a lease amendment involving County Bank of Moberly and Mountaineer Properties Trust.
Other business includes resolutions to award bids for the City Hall hard-surface replacement project (W.L. Miller Company), the 2026 manhole lining project (Spectra Tech LLC) and the 2026 manhole structural rehabilitation project (HK Solutions Group). The council will also consider an exception to the city’s formal bid policy so the Fire Department can move quickly on a foundation for its planned multi-function live-fire training building, and a resolution adopting the city’s annual goals for 2027.
Additional agenda items include the annual appointment of Krystle Daniels as the city’s representative to the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS) and proposed revisions to council policies on investment, revenue and cash management. The council is expected to close the meeting by voting to enter executive session to discuss personnel matters. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 12.
